Rhodes Bike Festival by RodosCycling with the support of PROTOUR, the Municipality of Rhodes, the South Aegean Regional Authority, private companies and many cycling friends is the 1st Cycling Festival that will take place in the City of Rhodes and South Rhodes from 22nd to 29th of October, 2022.
The purpose of the Festival is to make the island of Rhodes distinct as a cycling tourist destination to the international and Greek public as it has what is needed to support the characteristics of a cyclist friendly destination.
The large variety of excellent quality road networks that connect all the villages and cities give the possibility to the cyclists to move on asphalt routes safely due to the low traffic.
The endless kilometers on dirt roads that cross the lush forests of the island and at the same time lead you to the shores with blue waters, with colours that enchant the visitor, make the island a pole of attraction for the mountain biking public.
The visit to the Diagoras Cycling Track, built in 1932, a real cycling museum in the center of the city of Rhodes, is a reference point for a city cycling trip.
During the Festival different events focusing on the cyclist and cycling action on the island will take place, such as: Cycling group excursions, visiting the City of Rhodes by cycling, organising open to the general public and ages Sportiv cycling races, cycling with the purpose of tasting the Greek local cuisine and wine, as well as press conferences and talk shows with well-known Greek and international cycling personalities.
